Ongoing Partnership
When Bonsai approached us, they were already a beloved Asian dining spot in Liptovský Mikuláš. But with their expansion into Ružomberok, the ambition shifted. They didn’t want to simply open new locations - they wanted to elevate the entire brand.
OUR TASK WAS CLEAR
Redefine Bonsai’s visual language so it could live in multiple environments, each with its own audience and energy, while maintaining a unified identity.
MENU DESIGN
The Ružomberok location was their most ambitious step, a more intimate, refined space calling for a distinctly premium expression.
Our direction leaned into clean minimalism, embracing negative space, neutral tones, and structured typography to introduce a new level of sophistication to the brand.
We designed a bilingual EN/SK menu, crafted to feel timeless and elevated without losing Bonsai’s Asian roots. This new visual language set the tone for how Bonsai would present itself in more premium environments going forward.
SOCIAL MEDIA & CAMPAIGNS
In Liptovský Mikuláš, our approach had to shift completely.
While Ružomberok called for clean minimalism, this location needed a different kind of energy - something more colourful, playful and connected to a younger audience.
We rebuilt Bonsai’s digital presence around a modern Asian mood, keeping the visuals lively and expressive. The tone of voice became lighter. Everything was designed to feel consistent yet spontaneous, like a brand that understands its community without trying too hard.
This refreshed direction quickly showed results.
Engagement increased, the feed became more coherent, and the overall identity felt stronger and more recognisable. Multiple of our reels reached exceptional numbers, confirming that this new approach resonated with the audience.
To keep the experience unified across all touchpoints, we extended this visual language beyond social media. Event posters, seasonal graphics and a billboard campaign carried the same vibrant mood - making sure that whether people met Bonsai online or offline, the feeling stayed the same.
OPENING IDENTITY
In the High Tatras, Bonsai opened their third location - a space shaped by tourism, movement and the atmosphere of the mountains. For this environment, we created a set of opening materials that felt fresh and intentional: a new menu design, window display stickers and visual elements for the launch.
The challenge here was balance. The identity needed to feel premium enough for a destination visited by travellers, yet still unmistakably Bonsai. We aimed for a clean and bold aesthetic that could hold its own in a landscape full of strong visual stimuli.
The final result was an identity that stands out without competing with the surroundings — modern, clear and confident, but still connected to the brand’s Asian roots.
